''In my early twenties I fell off the back of a step onto one leg. Over the years I spent lots of money on chiropractors. During one of these episodes our service community nurse visited and recommended pilates and in particular Melitsa. ''I have been going to Mel's classes, for more years than I can remember, because I think she is so good at what she does. She is fun, as well as very thorough, getting the best out of everyone, whatever their ability. I have grown half an inch since doing her classes, which is pretty amazing at my age (Somewhere over 60) and I'm sure it would be a lot harder to get out of bed if not for her classes. But whatever your age I highly recommend her.''
After retiring from a fairly high profile job as a Finance Manager in 2008. I decided to try Pilates & joined Concept Pilates run by Melitsa.
Having being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2005 I was a little concerned but Melitsa asks you to complete a form with details of any health issues. She then makes allowances as necessary to suit you without affecting the rest of the class.
Melitsa is always professional and makes you feel very welcome and is a very cheerful lady which makes for a very pleasant experience.
I personally have really felt the benefit of Pilates & have over the years improved my movement and general physical capabilities.
For the last two years I have been able to stop taking my medication.
I cannot recommend joining Concept Pilates enough to get out for a fun hour with the benefit of a healthy but relatively easy 'work out'.
